1. The studio

paintmia.com is the personal studio site of Adriana Ionela Mihai, an independent Romanian realist oil painter. By using the site you agree to these terms.

2. Original artworks

Every painting shown as Available is an original oil on canvas by the artist, signed and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. Colours may vary slightly from what is shown on screen because of monitor calibration.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in EUR and include worldwide insured shipping. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. Your order is confirmed once payment is completed and you receive a confirmation email.

4. Shipping

Available paintings are dispatched within 5–10 working days after payment. International transit typically takes 5–20 working days depending on destination. Customs duties or import taxes outside the European Union are the buyer's responsibility.

5. Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you have 14 days from delivery to withdraw from a purchase of a stock painting and return it in its original condition. Return shipping is at your cost and the painting must be insured for its full value. Commissioned and personalised works are exempt from the right of withdrawal under Article 16(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU.

6. Damage in transit

Every painting is insured. If your painting arrives damaged, please photograph the packaging and the work and contact the studio within 7 days so we can arrange a resolution with the carrier.

7. Commissions

Commissioned paintings are made to your brief. A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to begin; the balance is due before shipping. Commissions cannot be returned once approved.

8. Patronage / donations

Patronage contributions are voluntary gifts to support the studio's practice. They are not purchases and are non-refundable, but you can cancel a recurring contribution at any time by writing to the studio.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the studio's liability is limited to the amount you paid for the artwork in question. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud or for damages that cannot be excluded under Romanian consumer law.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by Romanian law. Disputes will be resolved by the competent Romanian courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
