In this painting I sought to capture the essence of a wild and untamed mountain landscape — a place where nature displays its strength and beauty in raw, unpolished forms. Sharp cliff lines and steep peaks rise majestically, defining the horizon, while the lodge nestles in a corner of the world, a shelter in the face of immensity. Strong colors and expressive shapes hold the contrast between the harshness of the mountains and the human warmth of the cottage; the coniferous forest adds a splash of green in a work dominated by ocher and blue. I wanted to convey the sense of isolation and peace that comes with retreating into the wilderness, but also the inner strength we find when confronted with the majesty of nature — the cabin as an oasis of tranquility at the intersection between the human world and untouched nature.
